Cookies

Cookies definitely played a major role in my childhood, and mostly they were store bought.

Cookies were what we could get our hands on without waking up parents to supervise breakfast.  They were the precursor or appetizer if you will, to cold breakfast cereal on a weekend morning.

They were always on hand for an afternoon snack.

I am sure many of you had them close at hand, growing up.  Oreo’s were of course number one, followed closely by a Keebler Chocolate Chip.

This cookie container is always on the kitchen counter at our summer home in Millston.  It’s currently filled with mandel bread of various flavors.  I hear the lid being opened from another room and as I do, a smile comes across by face.  Another happy cookie eater.

Long live the cookie!

How about having some mandel bread in your own cookie jar?  Only you need to know how they got there!

Enjoy, el
