What’s New?

Over my many years in the textile business I had great anticipation for the release of new products. Twice a year, the mills I represented, would bring out their latest themes, patterns, colors, technological breakthroughs. I had high expectations that their “new” would be better and greater than the last collection and my sales would soar.

Always hopeful!

Of course there was usually nothing wrong with the old themes, patterns or qualities that were tried and true good sellers, and all that was really needed were new colors.

But that’s not what we long for when embracing the richness of life. We long for what’s new what’s next, what’s exciting. This eternal desire applies to much of life, even baking.

With that in mind, I have been creating and testing new products here at the bakery. I’ve been engaging family and friends to be my taste testers, some more willing than others. And like most things in the early stages of creation, there have been some great hits and some cringe-worthy misses.

My on-going goal for the bakery is to continue to add new items that we are crazy about, and that you will long for and enjoy. Pastries, cakes and more that you want to serve to your family and gift to the special people in your life that you know will gratefully smile when they take their first bite and come back for more.

Over the next couple of weeks I will be introducing some of your favorite pastries in terrific new flavors and some brand new offerings as well.
